Our Sprouts ADVENTURES curriculum is inspired by Reggio Emilia. We believe that children are curious by nature and our philosophy is to create an environment that feeds that curiosity in a developmentally appropriate way.

Each day at Sprouts children will have multiple opportunities to independently explore, act as a unique part of a small supportive community, and participate in real and meaningful learning.

For one hour each morning, children have the opportunity to create and learn in our large studio space at their own pace. The studio invitations for learning change week to week. Sometimes all Sprouts are independently working in their own space. Sometimes  they are all piled into the sand boat negotiating for space and collectively collaborating on a self-designed project. This exploration provides time to foster independence in a safe and engaging environment.

After studio time, Sprouts facilitators lead children outdoors in daily nature exploration that is designed specifically around a 12 week theme encouraging children to think creatively and dive deep into play and work.

From digging for worms in the garden to turning over logs inspecting for insects and examining flowers and plants, Sprouts have the opportunity to utilize multiple spaces and environments on the 12 acres of Lang Farm. Or very own frog pond is ripe with opportunity for hands on learning.
